The Cabin

Located in the Columbine Lake area just minutes from Grand Lake, this log cabin was built in 1997 and consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and 1650 square feet.  Nestled in an Aspen grove at the end of a cul-de-sac, you will find a peaceful and private setting.  This property borders acres of private wooded land that is favored by wildlife.  The floor plan will accommodate sleeping 7 adults comfortably in beds with plenty of extra room for children.  You will notice a very spacious and open main floor plan that is ideal for entertaining. The great room provides vaulted ceilings with open log beams, giving it that rustic mountain touch.  Enjoy serving up food and beverages on the wrap around deck then take a short walk to the east beach of Columbine Lake.  Close out you day under the stars on rustic log benches and adirondack chairs with an evening fire.

The Local Wildlife

With the proximity of Rocky Mountain National Park and the private land behind the cabin, wildlife regularly come through the property.  Below are some pictures showing our furry friends in the Columbine Lake area.  Moose are a very popular attraction to Grand Lake and it is very likely that you will have the opportunity to see these majestic animals in nature. Although they live in the area year round, summer and fall are the best times of year to encounter Moose. In addition, September starts the Elk breeding season where bull Elk begin buggling throughout the night.  This can easily be heard from your campfire on a quiet night.  Furry tailed Red Fox and Mule Deer frequent the area as well.
